Boss battles, Mechagodzilla and Kong: details on the Fortnite and Monsterverse collaboration

While the January 17th arrival of a Godzilla skin in Fortnite has been rumored for some time, details of the Monsterverse collaboration have recently surfaced online thanks to dataminers. Epic Games’ recent update, slated for release on January 17th, contains hidden assets revealing the specifics. Beyond the standard Godzilla skin obtainable via the battle pass, players can expect a store bundle featuring Mechagodzilla and Kong skins. This bundle will also include unique jetpacks and pickaxes designed to complement both characters.

A new boss event launching alongside the skins will allow one player to transform into a giant Godzilla, utilizing iconic abilities such as atomic breath. Players will need to cooperate to defeat this colossal foe, with the individual inflicting the most damage receiving a unique medallion.

The Fortnite store will release the Mechagodzilla and Kong bundle at the usual time, priced as follows:

  • Kong: 1500 V-bucks
  • Mechagodzilla: 1800 V-bucks
  • Two Pickaxes: 800 V-bucks each
  • One Emote: 400 V-bucks
  • Two Wraps: 500 V-bucks each
  • Complete Bundle: 2800 V-bucks

Excitingly, Fortnite’s roster of guest appearances continues to expand. A potential collaboration with Hatsune Miku is hinted at through intriguing social media exchanges. The official Hatsune Miku account reported a missing backpack, to which the Fortnite Festival account responded affirmatively, suggesting a partnership. This potential collaboration may include a standard Vocaloid skin, a "Miku the Catgirl" variant, a stylized pickaxe, and even a virtual Hatsune Miku concert.
