Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Set to Track Challenges, Revolutionizing Gameplay

Black Ops 6: Challenge Tracking and Separate HUD Settings on the Way

Treyarch has confirmed development of two highly anticipated features for Call of Duty: Black Ops 6: in-game challenge tracking and separate HUD settings for Multiplayer and Zombies.

The challenge tracking feature, a staple in 2023's Modern Warfare 3, was notably absent from Black Ops 6 at launch, much to the dismay of players. Treyarch has acknowledged this omission and confirmed via Twitter that the feature is "currently in the works." This update will be a significant improvement for players aiming to unlock Mastery camos and other challenge-based rewards. The functionality is expected to mirror Modern Warfare 3's system, providing a real-time in-game challenge tracker accessible through the UI.

While a release date remains unannounced, the upcoming Season 2 update later this month suggests a potential timeframe. This season's launch coincides with a recent patch addressing various bug fixes in both Multiplayer and Zombies modes, including a reversal of controversial changes to the Zombies' Directed Mode.

Beyond challenge tracking, Treyarch also confirmed plans for separate HUD customization options for Multiplayer and Zombies. This long-requested feature will eliminate the need for players to constantly adjust their HUD settings when switching between game modes. Like the challenge tracking feature, the development of separate HUD settings is also "in the works."

The addition of these features underscores Treyarch's commitment to enhancing the Black Ops 6 experience based on player feedback. The upcoming Season 2 update promises to deliver substantial improvements to the game.
