Enhanced Xbox Game Pass Rewards Program for Players 18+

Starting January 7th, Xbox Game Pass is significantly upgrading its rewards program, introducing Quests to PC Game Pass users and enhancing point-earning opportunities. However, these new features are exclusively for players aged 18 and older, aligning with Microsoft's focus on age-appropriate gaming experiences.

Key improvements include:

  • Quests Expand to PC Game Pass: PC Game Pass subscribers (18+) will now gain access to the Quests system, previously limited to Xbox Game Pass Ultimate. This unlocks new avenues for earning points.

  • Diverse Quest Types: Players can earn points through various quests:

    • Daily Play: Earn 10 points daily by playing any Game Pass title for at least 15 minutes.
    • Weekly Streaks: Playing at least five days a week earns points, with multipliers increasing for consecutive weeks (2x for two weeks, 3x for three, and 4x for four or more).
    • Monthly Packs: Explore the Game Pass catalog by playing four (Monthly 4-Pack) or eight (Monthly 8-Pack) different games (15 minutes each) monthly. The 4-Pack games count towards the 8-Pack.
    • PC Weekly Bonus: 150 points awarded for playing at least 15 minutes for five or more days a week.
  • Age Restriction: The updated Rewards Hub, accessible via Xbox console, the Xbox app (Windows PC and mobile), is now restricted to users 18 and older. Players under 18 can only earn rewards through parentally-approved purchases from the Microsoft Store.

The revamped system simplifies point accumulation with daily, weekly, and monthly quest options. Microsoft emphasizes its commitment to age-appropriate content, hence the age restriction on the expanded rewards program. This update aims to enhance the overall Game Pass experience for eligible players.
