Firaxis Games Unveils Civ 7 Post-Launch Roadmap

Firaxis Games has revealed its post-launch roadmap for Civilization VII (Civ 7), detailing upcoming content following the game's February 11th release. The roadmap outlines paid DLC, free updates, and future events and challenges.

March Updates:

The initial wave of content arriving in March includes:

Civilization 7 Free Update Will Include Bermuda Triangle and Mount Everest

  • Paid DLC: Two new leaders, Ada Lovelace and Simon Bolivar, will be available as paid downloadable content. (Image depicts example content)

Beyond March:

Firaxis has teased additional future content, including:

  • 2 more Leaders
  • 4 new Civilizations
  • 4 new World Wonders
  • New Events and Challenges

The release window for this content remains unannounced. Additional content is also planned for October 2025 and beyond.

Future Planned Updates (No Release Dates):

Firaxis also acknowledged several features that didn't make the initial launch but are currently in development:

  • Multiplayer team support
  • Expansion of multiplayer to 8 players
  • Customizable starting and ending ages
  • A wider variety of map types
  • Hotseat multiplayer

The company assures players that developers are actively working on these additions and will release them as soon as possible.
