Machinist

The Machinist starts with a bonus to Engineer, base levels in Interface and Intuit, and no Endure. Engage is un-levelable. Their ability allows them to spend Stress for a +2 bonus to their lowest die, also reducing Stress on positive outcomes. This bonus increases as the game progresses.

The Machinist proved to be a favorite in my playthrough. The ability to mitigate Stress and boost dice rolls is incredibly helpful, particularly given the frequent need for Engineer and Interface checks. This class is ideal for players focused on the game's technical and mechanical aspects.

Extractor

However, an abundance of crew members with Endure and Engage might lessen the impact. This class suits players who prefer a more rugged, hands-on approach.
