Codemasters Classic Spy Thriller

Codenames, the popular spy-themed board game, has been adapted into a captivating mobile app. Originally designed by Vlaada Chvátil and now published by CGE Digital, Codenames challenges players to identify secret agents hidden behind code names using one-word clues.

Decoding Codenames:

This multiplayer game pits two teams against each other in a battle of wits and word association. Teams must decipher which words on a grid represent their agents, using a single clue provided by their "spymaster." The objective is to correctly identify your agents while avoiding civilian bystanders and, crucially, the assassin.

The digital version enhances the experience with new words, game modes, and unlockable achievements, incorporating a career mode with leveling up, rewards, and special gadgets. The asynchronous multiplayer feature allows players up to 24 hours per turn, enabling simultaneous participation in multiple games, challenges against global opponents, and daily solo puzzles.

A Game of Deduction and Risk:

Gameplay involves tapping cards on a grid, revealing the identities behind the code names. Successful guesses reveal agents, while selecting the assassin results in an immediate loss. Managing multiple games adds a layer of complexity, but mastering the game unlocks the opportunity to become the spymaster, crafting the crucial one-word clues.

Sharpen your word association skills and test your strategic thinking in Codenames. Download the app from the Google Play Store for $4.99.
