Astro Bot Dominates the 28th Annual D.I.C.E. Awards

The gaming world gathered to celebrate outstanding achievements at the 28th D.I.C.E. Awards, honoring the best titles of 2024 across 23 categories. Astro Bot emerged as the clear champion, securing not only Game of the Year but also sweeping awards for Animation, Technical Achievement, Family Game, and Game Design.

Helldivers 2 proved formidable competition with four wins, including Original Music Composition and Action Game of the Year. Both Balatro and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle impressed with triple victories.

Special Honors for Gaming Icons

Beyond celebrating games, this year's ceremony recognized two industry legends. Nintendo's former Executive VP received the Lifetime Achievement Award for his impactful career and charitable work with Starlight Children's Foundation.

Insomniac Games founder Ted Price earned induction into the Hall of Fame following his retirement announcement, recognized for three decades of creative leadership and advocacy for developers' creative rights.
