DOOM: The Dark Ages Gets Brief Gameplay Tease From NVIDIA

Nvidia's recent hardware and software showcase unveiled a new 12-second teaser for the highly anticipated Doom: The Dark Ages. This glimpse showcases the game's diverse environments and the iconic Doom Slayer, equipped with a new shield.

The upcoming title, confirmed for release on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC in 2025, will leverage DLSS 4 technology for enhanced visuals. Building upon the success of the 2016 Doom reboot, Doom: The Dark Ages promises to deliver intense combat and stunning visuals powered by the latest idTech engine. The teaser highlights the variety of environments, ranging from opulent corridors to barren landscapes.

While the brief footage doesn't feature combat, it emphasizes the game's visual fidelity. Nvidia's blog post confirms ray reconstruction capabilities on the new RTX 50 series, hinting at a visually impressive experience. The showcase also featured other titles like The Witcher sequel and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle, highlighting the advancements in visual technology.

Doom: The Dark Ages, while lacking a precise release date, is slated for a 2025 launch. Further details regarding the storyline, enemy roster, and combat mechanics are anticipated as the year progresses. The game's visual prowess, however, is already evident from the released footage.
