EA confirmed the release window of the new Battlefield

Electronic Arts has confirmed a pre-April 2026 release window for the next Battlefield game, according to their recent financial report. While industry journalist Tom Henderson speculates, based on EA's past release schedules, that an October or November 2025 launch is more likely, EA remains tight-lipped on specific dates.

Development is underway across four of EA's internal studios, with significant playtesting planned. A closed beta program is already underway, allowing participants to provide valuable feedback on key gameplay elements, informing the final product before release.

This announcement also clarifies the future of the Need for Speed franchise. Vince Zampella previously indicated that a new NFS title isn't on the immediate horizon, as the new Battlefield game currently holds top priority.
