Final Fantasy XIV: MMORPG on the Go

Author : Jacob May 05,2022

Final Fantasy XIV is officially heading to mobile devices, bringing years of content to players on the go! Developed by Tencent's Lightspeed Studios in collaboration with Square Enix, this mobile version will let you explore the world of Eorzea anytime, anywhere.

The announcement ends months of speculation surrounding a mobile port of the critically acclaimed MMORPG. Tencent's Lightspeed Studios will work closely with Square Enix to deliver a faithful mobile experience.

Final Fantasy XIV's journey has been remarkable. Its initial 2012 release was met with harsh criticism, leading to a complete overhaul with "A Realm Reborn." This relaunch revitalized the game, transforming it into a major success.

The mobile version promises a robust starting experience. Nine jobs will be available at launch, with the Armoury system allowing for seamless switching. Popular minigames like Triple Triad will also be included.

This mobile release is a significant milestone, considering the game's tumultuous history and subsequent triumph. The partnership with Tencent signifies a strong collaboration between the two companies.

While the initial content may be limited, it's likely that future updates will gradually add expansions and content over time, rather than attempting to include everything at once.
