Mark your calendars for February 21, as that's when the action kicks off. Adding to the excitement, Fortnite is teaming up with the iconic fighting franchise Mortal Kombat. Fans can look forward to seeing Sub-Zero in the Battle Pass, perfectly complementing the season's heist theme with his chilling presence.

This collaboration is timely, aligning with the buzz around the upcoming film "Mortal Kombat 2," featuring Karl Urban as Johnny Cage and Adeline Rudolph as Kitana. For those eager to get their hands on these skins, they'll be available for purchase using V-Bucks, Fortnite's premium currency, with each character priced at 1,500 V-Bucks—maintaining the standard rate.

Confirmed to make a comeback are fan-favorite weapons like the Flare Gun, C4, and the Diplomat turret. While other weapons remain under wraps, the community is buzzing with speculation that the EMP Grenade, classic SMGs, Tommy Gun, and even the Grappler might return, echoing the heist-themed vibes of Chapter 4 Season 4.

A standout feature this season is Smart Building, which revolutionizes gameplay by predicting the structure you need based on your aim direction. This innovative addition promises to enhance strategic play.

The heist theme also introduces a fresh gameplay mechanic, replacing traditional keycards with vault breaches. Players will now use Meltanite, Fortnite's equivalent of thermite, to break into vaults and secure their rewards, adding a new layer of excitement and challenge to the game.
