Fortnite's new "Reload" mode is a nostalgic blast from the past with a modern twist! This fast-paced mode throws 40 players onto a smaller map packed with iconic locations from previous seasons, bringing back the classic Fortnite feel.
What Makes Reload Mode Unique?
Reload mode offers squad-based comebacks, but with a catch: a full squad wipe means instant elimination. No second chances! This high-stakes gameplay applies to both Battle Royale and Zero Build modes.
The action unfolds on a compact island featuring beloved locations like Tilted Towers and Retail Row. While drivable vehicles are absent, the loot pool is brimming with unvaulted weapons, including fan favorites like the Revolver, Tactical Shotgun, Lever Action Shotgun, Rocket Launcher, and Grappler.
Victory Crowns remain a factor. Reboots are possible, but you'll respawn with only a common Assault Rifle (plus building materials in Build mode). The Reboot Timer adds another layer of intensity, starting at 30 seconds and increasing to 40 seconds as the match progresses. Eliminating opponents reduces this timer. Players can also choose to initiate their reboot immediately upon elimination.
Elimination and Resourcefulness
Elimination in Reload mode isn't just about being out of the game. Fallen players drop Small Shield Potions, various ammo types, and 50 of each building material (in Build mode), keeping the battle intense and resource-driven.
Intense Rewards Await
The Reload mode launch also includes introductory quests offering substantial XP rewards. Complete three quests to earn the Digital Dogfight Contrail, six for the Pool Cubes Wrap, and nine for the NaNa Bath Back Bling. Secure a Victory Royale and unlock The Rezzbrella Glider.
