Fortnite: All Oni Masks & How To Get Them

Author : Zoey Feb 27,2025

This Fortnite Hunters guide details how to obtain Oni Masks, powerful items granting unique abilities. Updated January 14, 2025.

Oni Masks: Abilities & Types

  • Void Oni Mask: Offers superior mobility. Throw a Void Tear (Shoot button), then teleport to it (Aim button while mask is equipped). Epic variant: 15 uses, 5-second cooldown. Mythic variant: 50 uses.

  • Fire Oni Mask: Deals significant damage. Launch a guided flame projectile (Fire button) that hits multiple nearby opponents. Deals 100 damage per hit. Epic variant: 8 uses, 8-second cooldown. Mythic variant: 16 uses.

How to Acquire Oni Masks

Several methods exist, with varying degrees of certainty:

  • Elemental Chests: These chests guarantee an elemental item, including Oni Masks (both Void and Fire). Location is random, but named POIs increase your chances.

  • Defeating Demon Warriors: These enemies, marked by an Oni Mask icon on the map, sometimes drop an Oni Mask (either Void or Fire) upon defeat. They may also drop Typhoon Blades and Boons.

  • Regular Chests: Standard chests offer a small chance of dropping Epic rarity Void and Fire Oni Masks.

  • Purchase from Daigo (Masked Meadows): This is a guaranteed method. Purchase from Daigo after completing all stages of his Mask Expertise Quests.

  • Daigo's Hidden Workshop (Masked Meadows): A guaranteed method requiring no quests. Loot a machine in the hidden workshop (below the building on the north side of Masked Meadows) to obtain both masks.

  • Defeating Bosses (Mythic Masks Only): Defeat Night Rose (Demon's Dojo) for the Mythic Void Oni Mask, or Shogun X (Shogun's Arena) for the Mythic Fire Oni Mask. These function identically to their Epic counterparts but have more uses.

This guide provides multiple strategies to acquire these valuable masks, ranging from chance-based looting to guaranteed methods. Choose the approach that best suits your playstyle and time commitment.
