Mastering Fortnite's Chapter 6, Season 1 Healing: A Guide to Mending Machines

Unlike Fortnite OG, which lacks readily available healing options, Chapter 6, Season 1 offers various ways to replenish health and shields. One crucial method involves Mending Machines, although these are sparsely distributed across the map. This guide details all known Mending Machine locations.

Mending Machines, an evolution of the classic Vending Machines, provide essential healing items. Their scarcity makes them invaluable, especially in late-game scenarios. Here's where to find them:

  • Brutal Boxcars: Inside the train station.
  • Shining Span: West side of the gas station north of the location.
  • Burd: East side of the gas station.
  • Warrior’s Watch: In buildings to the east.
  • Seaport City: Located on a staircase. (Note: Seaport City also contains a Weapon-o-Matic, using a similar map icon.)

Identify Mending Machines on the map by their distinctive icon. Remember to differentiate them from Weapon-o-Matics, which dispense weapons instead of heals.

Utilizing Mending Machines

Upon reaching a Mending Machine, you can fully restore health or purchase Shield Potions and Med Kits. Stock up whenever possible, as healing items can be scarce, particularly after long-range engagements.

Remember, using Mending Machines requires gold.

Acquiring Gold

Gold is crucial for purchasing items in Fortnite. It's obtained through various means:

  • Eliminating opponents: Loot their fallen bodies.
  • Opening Chests: A reliable, albeit less exciting, method.

While previous seasons featured gold vaults, these are absent in Chapter 6, Season 1. Therefore, actively engaging in combat and exploring the map are key to accumulating gold.

This concludes our guide to Mending Machine locations in Fortnite Chapter 6, Season 1. For further tips and tricks, explore other gameplay guides.

Fortnite is available on various platforms, including Meta Quest 2 and 3.
