Free Marvel Rivals Skin Unveiled, But With Caveat

Marvel Rivals Season 1: New Content, Free Skins, and More!

Marvel Rivals Season 1 has launched with a plethora of exciting new content, including free skins, a new game mode, and updated maps. Players can jump into the action-packed world since January 10th, with the season concluding on April 11th.

Free Thor Skin via Midnight Features Event:

The season kicks off with a generous offer: a free Thor skin! This is earned by completing the challenges within the Midnight Features event. While only the initial chapter of quests is currently available, subsequent chapters unlock weekly, with full access to the "Reborn from Ragnarok" skin expected by January 17th. This skin showcases Thor's classic winged helmet, navy chestpiece, silver accents, and crimson cape.

Additional Freebies and In-App Purchases:

Beyond the Thor skin, players can also snag a free Iron Man skin by redeeming a code found on the game's social media channels. The in-game shop offers new cosmetic bundles for Mister Fantastic and Invisible Woman, each priced at 1,600 Units. Units can be earned through gameplay or purchased with Lattice, the premium currency. The battle pass itself provides 600 Units and 600 Lattice upon completion, offering further value.

New Game Mode and Maps:

Season 1 introduces the Doom Match mode, a free-for-all brawl for 8-12 players, where the top 50% are declared victorious. Explore two new maps: Midtown and the Sanctum Sanctorum, expanding the game's already impressive locations. A brand-new battle pass offers 10 original skins and a variety of other cosmetic rewards. A significant mid-season update is also planned, featuring the arrival of Human Torch and The Thing.

Key Features Summary:

  • Free Thor skin via the Midnight Features event.
  • New Doom Match mode.
  • Midtown and Sanctum Sanctorum maps added.
  • Battle pass with 10 original skins and other cosmetics.
