The Steely Resolve event in Pokémon GO, running from January 21st to 26th, marks the highly anticipated debut of the Corviknight evolutionary line: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight. This arrival fulfills a long-standing player request and expands the game's Galar region Pokémon roster.

The event's arrival was subtly foreshadowed in December 2024's Dual Destiny Season loading screen, showcasing Rookidee and Corviknight before their official announcement.

Event Highlights:

  • New Pokémon: Rookidee, Corvisquire, and Corviknight make their Pokémon GO debut.
  • Special Research: A new Dual Destiny Special Research storyline with unique rewards.
  • Field Research Tasks: A variety of tasks offering encounters and items.
  • Increased Spawns: Boosted spawn rates for Clefairy, Paldean Wooper, Carbink, and others (some with shiny possibilities).
  • Magnetic Lure Modules: Attract Pokémon like Onix, Beldum, Shieldon, and Rookidee.
  • Charged TM Utility: Use a Charged TM to remove Frustration from Shadow Pokémon.
  • Raids: One-star, five-star (featuring Deoxys and Dialga), and Mega raids (Mega Gallade and Mega Medicham).
  • 2km Eggs: Increased chances of hatching Shieldon, Carbink, Mareanie, and Rookidee (shiny possibilities).
  • Featured Attacks: Evolving specific Pokémon during the event grants them unique, powerful attacks. This includes Corviknight learning Iron Head.
  • GO Battle Week: Runs concurrently, offering 4x Stardust from wins, increased daily battle sets, and a free battle-themed Timed Research.

Specific Event Details:

The event runs from January 21st, 10:00 AM to January 26th, 8:00 PM local time. A $5 Paid Timed Research will also be available. The list of boosted spawns includes Clefairy, Machop, Totodile, Marill, Hoppip, Paldean Wooper, Shieldon, Bunnelby, Carbink, and Mareanie (denotes shiny possibility). Raid bosses include Lickitung, Skorupi, Pancham, and Amaura (one-star); Deoxys (Attack and Defense Forme) and Dialga (five-star); and Mega Gallade and Mega Medicham (Mega raids) (*denotes shiny possibility).

The concurrent GO Battle Week (January 21st, 12:00 AM to January 26th, 11:59 PM local time) features increased Stardust rewards, more battles per day, and a Grimsley-inspired avatar reward.
