According to her mentor, Iansan: "Varesa, my most peculiar student… possesses an easygoing, carefree nature. Wherever she goes, she's like a child on an adventure, always seeking delicious treats or cozy resting spots… But beware! Against Abyss monsters, she transforms into an unstoppable force!"

Joining Varesa in update 5.5 is Iansan, a 4-star Electro Polearm user, who graduates from NPC to playable character. Iansan, Natlan's top trainer, is described by Varesa as: "Iansan is Natlan’s top trainer and the person I admire the most! People say I’m talented, but without her training, that talent would have gone to waste. Don’t worry if you’re not used to working out—Coach Iansan knows how to train anyone! Oh, by the way, wanna check out this flyer? She’s recruiting new students!"
