Two GTA Titles Are Leaving Netflix Games Next Month

Netflix Game Subscribers: Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are Leaving Soon!

Big news for Netflix Games subscribers who enjoy Grand Theft Auto on Android: GTA III and GTA Vice City are departing the platform next month.

Why the Departure? License Expiration!

This isn't a surprise move. Netflix licenses games similarly to how it licenses movies and shows. The licenses for these two classic GTA titles are expiring on December 13th. You'll see a "Leaving Soon" tag on the games before they're removed. Their initial 12-month agreement with Rockstar Games is concluding.

After December 13th, Netflix subscribers will no longer have access to GTA III and Vice City. If you're currently immersed in the action, finish your adventures before they're gone! Note that Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas remains available on the platform.

Where to Play Next?

Don't worry, you can still experience these games! The Definitive Editions of Grand Theft Auto III and Vice City are available on the Google Play Store. Each game costs $4.99, or you can purchase the entire trilogy for $11.99.

Unlike the sudden removal of some games in the past, Netflix is giving players advance notice. Interestingly, this occurs despite Netflix gaining significant subscribers in 2023 thanks to the GTA trilogy.

Future Possibilities?

Rumors suggest Rockstar and Netflix are collaborating on potential future projects, possibly remastered versions of Liberty City Stories, Vice City Stories, and even Chinatown Wars. Let's hope this rumor proves true!
