Hearthstone Is Dropping Battlegrounds Season 9 Soon with Major Changes!

Hearthstone Battlegrounds Season 9: Cosmic Chaos Arrives December 3rd!

Get ready for a celestial shake-up! Hearthstone's Battlegrounds mode is launching Season 9 on December 3rd, bringing a universe of changes, updates, and exciting new features. Prepare for cosmic vibes, cutting-edge tech, and a completely revamped minion lineup – it's a Tavern takeover!

Key Updates:

Bob's Technotavern is getting a major overhaul. Season 9 resets ratings and bids farewell to Trinkets, replacing them with new Battlegrounds Tokens. These tokens let you reroll a hero choice at the selection screen, offering a lifeline if you're stuck with undesirable options.

Reveal Schedule:

Before the full launch, get a sneak peek! Here's the reveal schedule:

  • November 20th: Naga and Dragon reveals.
  • November 21st: Quilboar and Beast reveals.
  • November 22nd: Pirate and Duos-only reveals.
  • November 25th: Murloc and Demon reveals.
  • November 26th: Elemental and Undead reveals.
  • December 2nd: Preview event streams and 31.2 patch notes release.

New Additions and Tweaks:

Season 9 introduces three brand-new heroes, with Farseer Nobundo already generating considerable buzz with his Galaxy's Lens ability. Nearly 90 minions and Tavern spells are either joining or leaving the game.

A damage cap adjustment affects solo Battlegrounds: Early-game damage is capped at 5, increasing to 10 on turn 4 and 15 on turn 8. However, this cap is removed once you reach the top 4.

Minion Rollout:

The full update goes live December 3rd, introducing Beasts, Dragons, Quilboar, Pirates, Naga, and Mechs. Murlocs and Demons arrive on December 5th, followed by Undead and Elementals on December 9th.
