Infinity Nikki Announces Record Earnings in First Month

Summary

  • Infinity Nikki amassed nearly $16 million in mobile game profit in its first month, surpassing previous Nikki series revenue by over 40 times.
  • The game's extraordinary success was largely driven by China, where it received over 5 million downloads.
  • After a solid start, earning over $1.1 million in a day, the game's daily revenue fluctuated but surged post-Version 1.1 update.

Infinity Nikki has achieved a remarkable milestone, generating nearly $16 million in mobile game profit within its first month of release. Launched in December 2024 by Infold Games, also known as Papergames in China, this latest installment in the beloved Nikki series has quickly captured the attention of the mobile gaming community. The game's success is evident in its robust revenue from in-app purchases, which include a variety of cosmetic items, outfits, and game features.

Set in the enchanting world of Miraland, Infinity Nikki invites players to guide the protagonist, Nikki, and her adorable cat companion, Momo, on a whimsical journey. The game introduces players to diverse nations, each boasting unique cultures and habitats. Central to the gameplay is the dress-up mechanic, where Nikki's outfits are not just for show; they hold magical powers essential for progressing through the story. These outfits, imbued with the energy of Whimstars—physical manifestations of inspiration—enable Nikki to perform actions like floating, gliding, and shrinking to solve puzzles and overcome challenges.

With 30 million pre-registrations, Infinity Nikki made a significant impact in the cozy open-world genre even before its public release, and it continues to dominate. According to data from AppMagic (via Pocket Gamer), the game's performance has been exceptional, though these figures only account for earnings from mobile platforms and do not include profits from the PlayStation 5 and Microsoft Windows versions. Infinity Nikki earned $3.51 million in its launch week, followed by $4.26 million in the second week, and $3.84 million in the third week. By the fifth week, weekly revenue had tapered to $1.66 million, totaling nearly $16 million in its first month. This marks the most successful launch in the franchise's history, eclipsing Love Nikki's first-month revenue of $383,000 by over 40 times and significantly outperforming Shining Nikki's international launch in 2021, which generated $6.2 million in its first month.

Infinity Nikki Breaks Records with Massive First-Month Earnings

Infinity Nikki's success is largely driven by its reception in China, where it garnered over 5 million downloads. This represents over 42% of the game’s total downloads, solidifying China as a major contributor to its financial triumph.

This latest data comes after reports that Infinity Nikki's mobile revenue peaked at over $1.1 million on December 6, just a day after its launch. Since then, daily earnings have gradually declined, though the game still generated $787,000 by December 18, marking the end of its second week. The decline accelerated in the following days, with daily revenue dropping below $500,000 for the first time on December 21 and hitting a low of $141,000 on December 26, its worst-performing day so far. However, revenue surged to $665,000 on December 30 following Infinity Nikki's Version 1.1 update, nearly tripling the $234,000 earned the previous day.

For potential players, Infinity Nikki is available for free on PC, PlayStation 5, iOS, and Android. The game’s developers are committed to maintaining its momentum by regularly introducing seasonal events, such as Infinity Nikki's Fishing Day Event, and updates to enrich the player experience.
