Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 is canceled for being subpoenaed and progressive

Activist groups have targeted Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 following the discovery of in-game subpoenas, sparking a campaign to cancel the project. The controversy gained traction after reports surfaced online about the game's ban in Saudi Arabia, fueling speculation about its content and alleged "progressive" themes.

This led to a wave of online attacks against the developers, with calls to boycott Kingdom Come Deliverance 2 and discourage support for the studio.

Warhorse Studios' PR manager, Tobias Stolz-Zwilling, responded to the controversy, urging the public to rely on official statements and avoid unverified online information.

Stolz-Zwilling confirmed that review codes would be distributed in the coming days, following the game's achievement of gold status in early December. These codes are expected to be released approximately four weeks prior to launch, allowing streamers and reviewers ample time to prepare their content.

Interestingly, the first "final previews," based on review copies, are anticipated a week after the initial distribution of review codes.
