Light of Motiram, Tencent\'s upcoming Horizon-inspired open-world RPG, looks like it\'s coming to mobile

Tencent's Polaris Quest announces its open-world RPG, Light of Motiram, for mobile! This ambitious title, also launching on Epic Games Store, Steam, and PlayStation 5, boasts a compelling blend of genres.

The game features base-building, survival mechanics, creature collection and customization, cooperative play, and even cross-platform functionality. This impressive feature set, combined with its high visual fidelity, raises questions about its feasibility on mobile devices.

The game's diverse mechanics – open-world RPG exploration reminiscent of Genshin Impact, base-building similar to Rust, and customizable mechanical creatures echoing Horizon Zero Dawn and even Palworld – create a unique, albeit potentially overwhelming, experience. While the sheer breadth of features might lead to comparisons with other titles, the developers seem to be embracing this eclectic mix.

A mobile beta is reportedly in development, though details remain scarce. The challenge of optimizing such a visually rich and mechanically complex game for mobile platforms remains to be seen. Until further information is released, explore our list of the top five new mobile games this week!
