Get ready, Call of Duty: Warzone players! The highly anticipated return of the beloved Verdansk map is almost here. March 10, 2025, is the date many are pointing to, following a countdown appearing on the official Call of Duty shop (thanks to InsiderGaming).
Activision initially teased Verdansk's comeback last August, promising a Spring 2025 release, but this countdown provides a much more concrete date. A tri-color image accompanying the countdown depicts a classic Verdansk scene: snow-capped mountains, pine trees, a dam, and a crashed plane—evoking nostalgic memories for veteran players. Currently, the only way to experience this version of Verdansk is through Call of Duty: Warzone Mobile.
This news is particularly exciting given Activision's 2021 statement declaring the original Verdansk "gone and not coming back."

Meanwhile, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Season 2 has launched, featuring five new multiplayer maps (Bounty, Dealership, Lifeline, Bullet, and Grind), the return of Gun Game, new weapons, operators, and a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles crossover event. Warzone, however, has received less content than initially planned as the developers focus on resolving critical issues, including gameplay balancing, bug fixes, and quality-of-life improvements.
