TouchArcade Game Review: Marvel Mobile Games Update

It's been suggested I should give more attention to Marvel mobile games beyond Marvel Snap. While Marvel Snap gets frequent coverage, other titles often only appear in weekly best updates. This is a valid criticism, so let's delve into a Marvel Minute to see what's happening in Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Contest of Champions.

Marvel Future Fight: Iron Man Event

Marvel Future Fight is currently featuring an Iron Man event inspired by Invincible Iron Man, introducing new outfits for Tony Stark and Pepper Potts. Key updates include:

Marvel Future Fight Update

  • New Uniforms: Iron Man and Rescue.
  • Tier-4 Advancement: War Machine and Hulkbuster.
  • New World Boss: Legend+ level Corvus & Proxima (The Black Order).
  • New Custom Gear: C.T.P. of Liberation.
  • 200 Crystals Event: Link your email for 200 crystals.

Marvel Contest of Champions: New Champions and Events

Marvel Contest of Champions continues to expand its roster with unusual and exciting additions. This update introduces:

Marvel Contest of Champions Update

  • New Champions: Count Nefaria (a Maggia crime boss with ionic energy powers) and Shathra (daughter of Oshtur and Gaea, from Loomworld).
  • New Quests and Events:
    • Lupus In Fabula: An event quest involving The Collector's ship.
    • Ludum Maximus: A series of challenges hosted by Count Nefaria with randomized paths and enemies.
    • Act 9; Chapter 1: The Reckoning: Continues the Ouroboros storyline.
    • Glorious Games: A four-month saga celebrating the game's 10th anniversary, featuring themed events and champion reworks.
    • Realm Events: Global collaborative events with milestone and ranked rewards.

Both Marvel Future Fight and Marvel Contest of Champions offer compelling updates. The inclusion of less-common Marvel characters like Count Nefaria is a highlight for long-time fans. If you've stopped playing or are new to these games, these updates provide a great opportunity to jump back in. Personally, I'm eager to try out Count Nefaria!
