Pokémon GO's Halloween event is creeping closer! Niantic has unveiled the details for Part 1, with a Part 2 to follow. Get ready for exciting features and spooky Pokémon encounters.
The spooky fun starts Tuesday, October 22nd, at 10:00 a.m. local time and runs until Monday, October 28th, 2024, at 10:00 a.m.
What Spooky Surprises Await?
Morpeko makes its Pokémon GO debut! This Electric/Dark-type Pokémon introduces unique battle mechanics, especially effective against Team GO Rocket and in GO Battle League.
Morpeko's Full Belly and Hangry Modes shift mid-battle based on its Charged Attack. Full Belly Mode uses Aura Wheel (Electric), a 100-power move boosting Attack. Hangry Mode's Aura Wheel becomes Dark-type, retaining the 100-power and Attack boost.
During the event, encounter Morpeko more frequently in GO Battle League's premium track. Post-event, it'll be available from Rank 16, though still more common in premium battles.
A Spooktacular Pokémon GO Halloween!
Expect a festive atmosphere with special Halloween decorations. Fans of the Lavender Town theme will enjoy a remix of the classic music playing nightly during the event.
Another highlight: Dynamax Gastly appears in one-star Max Battles, alongside Grookey, Scorbunny, and Sobble.Free Timed Research runs from October 22nd to November 3rd, focusing on Spiritomb and its 108 spirits. Complete tasks for encounters with Halloween Pokémon, including Spiritomb and Morpeko.
