Yasuda highlighted NINJA GAIDEN 2’s strong action foundation as the reason for its selection, adding the "Black" designation to signal its definitive status, mirroring the NINJA GAIDEN Black re-release of the original game. Fan feedback following the 2021 NINJA GAIDEN Master Collection release, expressing a desire for a similar updated NINJA GAIDEN 2 experience, directly influenced this decision.
