Point-And-Click Mystery Game The Darkside Detective Is Now Out, Along With Its Sequel A Fumble in the Dark

Akupara Games has been busy lately! Following their recent release of the deck-building game Zoeti, they've now launched The Darkside Detective, a quirky puzzle game, along with its sequel, The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark (yes, both at once!).

What's Brewing in Twin Lakes?

The game plunges you into the eerie, fog-shrouded town of Twin Lakes, a place where the strange, spooky, and downright absurd are everyday occurrences. Meet Detective Francis McQueen and his endearing (though sometimes clueless) partner, Officer Patrick Dooley.

Together, they form the Darkside Division, the perpetually underfunded wing of the Twin Lakes Police Department. You'll help them solve nine captivating cases, delving into the hilarious and bizarre world of The Darkside Detective and its equally witty sequel.

These point-and-click adventures offer a wild ride, from time-travel mysteries and tentacled horrors to carnival secrets and mafia zombies. Check out the trailer below to get a taste of the action!

Ready to Dive In? ---------------------------

The game is a delightful homage to pop culture, brimming with references to classic horror films, sci-fi shows, and buddy cop movies. Case titles alone are a treat: Malice in Wonderland, Tome Alone, Disorient Express, Police Farce, Don of the Dead, Buy Hard, and Baits Motel.

The game's humor is a standout feature, infused into every pixel. If you're interested, The Darkside Detective is available on the Google Play Store for $6.99. You can also jump straight into A Fumble in the Dark without playing the first game – find it on Google Play as well.

And don't forget to check out our other gaming news! Wuthering Waves Version 1.2, "In the Turquoise Moonglow," is launching soon!
