Pokemon Fan Creates Incredible Unown Tablets

A Pokémon enthusiast has crafted a stunning collection of clay tablet replicas featuring the enigmatic Unown Pokémon. These meticulously detailed tablets display messages encoded in the unique Unown alphabet and even include a charming cameo by a legendary Mythical Pokémon.

Unown, a truly unique Pokémon, has captivated fans since its Generation II debut. Its distinctive design boasts 28 forms mirroring the Latin alphabet. The Pokémon's prominence in the third Pokémon movie, alongside Entei, further solidified its place in Pokémon lore.

The artist, Higher-Elo-Creative, showcased their impressive creations on the Pokémon subreddit, sparking immense excitement among fellow fans. These decorative pieces, designed to resemble ancient clay tablets, have garnered praise for their artistry and craftsmanship. Higher-Elo-Creative invited suggestions for future tablet inscriptions, receiving numerous enthusiastic responses. The artist's own tablets feature messages such as "Power," "Unown," "Game Over," "Home," and "Your Journey Begins."

The collection culminates in a tablet depicting Mew subtly peeking from behind artificial foliage. While not an exact replica, it evokes the Ancient Mew card distributed during the premiere of Pokémon The Movie 2000: The Power of One. The inclusion of Mew, an ancient and Mythical Pokémon, is a fitting tribute to the tablet's theme. Fans have inquired about the creation process, and Higher-Elo-Creative revealed that the tablets are made from foam. These unique pieces are also available for purchase through the artist's shop.

Unown's Absence, Yet Enduring Appeal

While not considered competitively viable, Unown presents a fascinating challenge for Pokémon players. Collecting all Unown forms remains a significant goal for many dedicated fans and completionists. However, Unown's absence from Pokémon Scarlet and Violet disappointed some players. Despite this omission, the Pokémon's enduring popularity is undeniable, with fans even suggesting new Unown forms based on additional alphabet symbols and icons.

The future of Unown in the Pokémon franchise remains uncertain. Whether it will reappear in Pokémon Legends: Z-A or remain absent for an extended period is yet to be seen.
