First pre-alpha gameplay footage of Fable

Surprise! Unannounced gameplay from the upcoming Fable game surfaced during the Official Xbox Podcast.

The footage offers glimpses into diverse game environments, the combat mechanics, a variety of adversaries, and a brief cutscene. Even the classic chicken kick makes a return!

Previously, Xbox Game Studios head confirmed a delay for Fable, pushing its release from 2025 to 2026. The stated reason is the need for further refinement and polishing.

Announced on July 23, 2020, the reboot of this beloved franchise has remained largely under wraps. Three years post-announcement, it's evident Fable is still in its early development phases.

The involvement of Eidos Montreal to assist primary developer Playground Games, coupled with the prolonged absence of polished gameplay footage, strongly suggests the game faces considerable challenges.
