The Legion Tower 7 serves as Lenovo’s flagship desktop, featuring a highly ventilated chassis equipped with six 120mm fans—including three dedicated to the 360mm liquid cooling system—to ensure optimal component temperatures. The system is supported by a robust 1,200W power supply unit.

This specific configuration includes an Intel Core Ultra 9 285K processor, NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 with 32GB of VRAM, 64GB of DDR5-5600MHz RAM, and a high-speed 2TB PCIe Gen 4 M.2 SSD. The Intel Core Ultra 9 285K delivers a maximum turbo frequency of 5.7GHz across 24 cores with a 40MB L2 cache. According to Passmark benchmarks, this represents Intel’s top-tier gaming CPU and the only Intel chip capable of rivaling AMD’s X3D processors in performance.

The RTX 5090 Is the Most Powerful Graphics Card Ever

NVIDIA has positioned the GeForce RTX 5090 as the most powerful consumer GPU currently available on the market. While NVIDIA emphasizes software enhancements, AI capabilities, and DLSS 4 technology to boost gaming performance, the RTX 5090 still delivers a significant 25%-30% improvement over the RTX 4090 in raw rasterization performance. Additionally, it features more (32GB vs. 24GB) and faster GDDR7 VRAM compared to its predecessor’s GDDR6 memory.

Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 FE Review by Jackie Thomas**

"The Nvidia GeForce RTX 5090 has officially claimed the performance crown from the RTX 4090, though not with as much force as in previous generations. In traditional non-AI gaming scenarios, the RTX 5090 offers one of the smallest generational improvements in recent history. However, in titles that support it, DLSS 4 provides substantial performance boosts—you just need to accept that 75% of those frames are AI-generated."

Why Choose Lenovo?

Lenovo Legion desktops and laptops typically offer superior build quality compared to many other prebuilt systems. Desktop users particularly appreciate that Lenovo avoids proprietary components in its machines, making upgrades with standard off-the-shelf parts much easier. Although we have not yet tested the latest 2025 models, our review of last year’s Legion 7 desktop highlighted excellent performance and solid construction quality.

Lenovo Legion Tower 7i Review by Jacqueline Thomas**

"The Lenovo Legion Tower 7i is an exceptionally powerful gaming PC, offering great value for its price point. If you are looking for a high-performance, easily upgradable machine without the hassle of building it yourself, few gaming PCs can match this one. Just remember to uninstall McAfee immediately upon startup."
