Rumor: Zenless Zone Zero Leak Reveals Duration of Future Patch Cycles

Summary

  • Version 1.7 will reportedly conclude the current patch cycle.
  • Players eagerly anticipate the 1.5 update, introducing new units.

A recent leak suggests Zenless Zone Zero will have a longer-than-anticipated current patch cycle, ending with Version 1.7 before transitioning to Version 2.0. Despite being less than a year old, the RPG has consistently delivered new content and characters with each update.

2024 marked a successful debut for Zenless Zone Zero. The RPG garnered a Best Mobile Game nomination at The Game Awards and steadily gained popularity. A collaboration with McDonald's further solidified its success. Following the 1.4 update, anticipation builds for Version 1.5, promising two playable units, a new area, and a potential Nicole Demara skin. However, a new leak hints at an extended patch cycle.

Reliable leaker, Flying Flame, reports that Version 1.7 will conclude the current cycle, followed by Version 2.0, then Version 2.8, leading to Version 3.0. This contrasts with other HoYoverse titles like Genshin Impact and Honkai: Star Rail, which concluded their first cycles with Version 1.6. If accurate, this extended cycle would significantly differentiate Zenless Zone Zero and provide players with more content. Further fueling excitement, another leak from the same source indicates 31 new characters are planned. With the current roster at 26 playable units (S-Rank and A-Rank), this suggests substantial future expansion.

Zenless Zone Zero Leak: Projected Patch Cycle Duration

  • Version 1.7, followed by Version 2.0
  • Version 2.8, followed by Version 3.0

While Version 1.7 remains months away, players eagerly await Version 1.5. This update includes a new main story chapter, area, events, and the highly anticipated addition of S-Rank units Astra Yao and Evelyn. Astra Yao is rumored to be a strong support character. Early leaks revealed her material requirements, prompting players to begin farming in preparation.

Zenless Zone Zero Version 1.4, which concluded in late January, introduced the powerful Hoshimi Miyabi, but also faced criticism regarding alleged censorship issues. However, developers swiftly addressed these concerns and compensated players.
