Safari Ball Rolls into Pokémon GO: Catch

The highly anticipated Pokémon GO Wild Area event is almost here, and the star of the show is undoubtedly the Safari Ball – the game's seventh Poké Ball! This article delves into the details of this new event and its unique Poké Ball.

What is the Pokémon GO Safari Ball?

Long-time Pokémon fans will recognize Safari Zones from the main series games. These special areas allowed for the capture of rare Pokémon without battling. Niantic is recreating this experience with the Wild Area event.

Pokémon GO has seen limited additions to its Poké Ball roster. Players regularly use the standard Poké Ball, Great Ball, and Ultra Ball. Premier Balls also exist, along with the coveted Master Ball.

The Wild Area event runs globally from November 23rd to November 24th, 2024, concluding at 6:15 pm local time. Crucially, any unused Safari Balls will vanish from your inventory after the event ends.

During the event, the Safari Ball will be the preferred tool for catching powerful Pokémon. The decision to introduce the Safari Ball during a new event, rather than the established Safari Zone or City Safari events, is intriguing.

The Safari Ball's design remains a mystery, though speculation points towards the green camouflage pattern familiar to fans of the main series games. Only time will reveal the truth! Share your predictions in the comments.
