Unlocking Astro Bot's Lost Galaxy: A Comprehensive Guide to Finding All 10 Hidden Portals
Astro Bot Rescue Mission offers players a vast array of explorable worlds. Beyond the standard levels, however, lies the Lost Galaxy—a secret area accessible only through ten hidden portals scattered throughout the main game. This guide details the location and method for accessing each portal. Look for a swirling icon on the level select screen to identify worlds containing a hidden portal.
Hidden Portal #1: Az-Tech Trail
Mid-level, locate a dark chamber with a wall flanked by four lit torches. Utilize the Twin-Frog Gloves to extinguish all four flames. The wall will then retract, revealing the portal.
Hidden Portal #2: Creamy Canyon
Early in the level, find a snowy area with a ladybug enemy. Proceed past it to a charging pig. Grab the pig, swing it towards the icy statue, and release it to shatter the statue. Backtrack, leap over the ladybug, and bounce to a higher platform. Perform a charged spin attack to uncover a room containing the portal.
Hidden Portal #3: Go-Go Archipelago
After defeating Captain Pincher, locate his claw embedded in the ground. A glowing light indicates a spot for a charged spin attack. Drill into the ground to access a hidden chamber with the portal and treasure.
Hidden Portal #4: Downsize Surprise
Towards the level's end, find a bubble-blowing frog. Blow into your controller to activate the bubbles. Shrink, ride a bubble, and transfer to another before it pops to reach a branch above a bot. Navigate to the opposite branch to find the portal.
Hidden Portal #5: Free Big Brother!
At the level's start, turn around and locate platforms with an electric enemy. Lure it to electrocute the platforms, revealing a hidden wall and the portal.
Hidden Portal #6: Bathhouse Battle
Find the house with a flaming chimney. After absorbing water, climb to the roof and extinguish the flames. Descend the chimney to find the portal.
Hidden Portal #7: Hieiroglitch Pyramid
At the level's conclusion, turn right to an area with falling jewels. Use a bounce pad to reach a hidden area. Activate a trap, locate two hidden switches in the walls pushing you back, and activate them to reveal the portal.
Hidden Portal #8: Balloon Breeze
Obtain the pufferfish power-up. Backtrack to an early area with a distant platform and a ladybug enemy. Bounce the ladybug towards the platform, activate the pufferfish, and use Astro's hover to reach the platform. Use motion controls to clear bamboo surrounding the portal, then run its perimeter to activate it.
Hidden Portal #9: Djinny of the Lamp
After defeating Djinny, climb the ruins. Glowing ground indicates invisible platforms. Hover to each platform, then use a rug to reach another elevated platform containing the portal.
Hidden Portal #10: Frozen Meal
Before the boss fight, roll a snowball into a large ball and use it as a platform to reach the cliffside, where the final portal awaits.
