The Nintendo Switch 2, slated for a 2025 release, has fans buzzing with excitement, especially with a Nintendo Direct scheduled for today, April 2nd. However, Nintendo might have already given us a sneak peek at what's to come, particularly with the introduction of the new C button.

Nintendo has recently launched a new smartphone app called Nintendo Today, designed to deliver the latest news and game information directly to players. Sharp-eyed fans noticed that the app's listings on the Apple App Store and Google Play Store included promotional images that not only promote the app's features but also hint at the Nintendo Switch 2. One image specifically mentions, "Get updates on Nintendo Switch 2 news plus game info, videos, comics, and more every day."

Upon closer examination, the image showcasing the Nintendo Switch 2 reveals what appears to be the final version of the console, complete with redesigned Joycons and the confirmation of the enigmatic C button on the right Joycon.

Back in January, the initial teaser for the Switch 2 featured a new button beneath the Home button, which was simply a black square without any text. This sparked speculation among fans about its potential function, ranging from a new social feature to a new sensor.
