"Tales of" Remasters to Release Regularly

More Tales of titles are on their way to modern platforms, as confirmed by series producer Yusuke Tomizawa during the Tales of Series 30th Anniversary Project Special Broadcast. With fans celebrating three decades of epic adventures, the future looks bright for both longtime followers and newcomers eager to dive into the beloved JRPG franchise. Here’s everything we know about what’s coming next.

More Remasters Coming "Fairly Consistently"

In the anniversary broadcast, Tomizawa-san confirmed that remasters will be released "fairly consistently" in the coming years. While specific titles and release dates remain under wraps, he emphasized that a dedicated development team has been assembled solely to focus on remastering classic entries. This team is committed to bringing high-quality, updated versions of past Tales of games to current consoles and PC—ensuring they’re accessible to a global audience.

Bandai Namco has long acknowledged the demand for remasters, previously stating on their official FAQ that they’ve heard from passionate fans worldwide who want to experience older Tales games on modern systems. With many entries previously locked to outdated hardware, this new initiative ensures both nostalgic players and a new generation can enjoy the series’ rich storytelling, dynamic combat, and memorable characters.

Tales of Graces f Remastered – The Next Step

The latest addition to the remaster lineup, Tales of Graces f Remastered, is set to launch on January 17, 2025, for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. Originally released in 2009 for the Nintendo Wii, this enhanced version brings improved visuals, refined gameplay mechanics, and quality-of-life updates—marking another step in Bandai Namco’s mission to revitalize the franchise.

Celebrating 30 Years of Adventure

The 30th Anniversary Special Broadcast was a heartfelt tribute to the series’ legacy, tracing its journey from the original Tales of Phantasia in 1995 to today’s expansive catalog. Developers from across the years shared personal messages, reflecting on their experiences and expressing gratitude to the global fanbase that has supported the series for three decades.

For Western fans, the celebration includes the launch of the new official English Tales of website. This hub will serve as a central source for all future announcements, including upcoming remasters, merchandise, and community events—making it easier than ever to stay connected.

With a dedicated team in place and a clear roadmap forward, the Tales of series is entering a new era of accessibility and growth. Fans can look forward to more remasters arriving regularly—breathing new life into classic adventures and ensuring the spirit of the series continues for years to come.
