World of Tanks Blitz goes IRL with an enormous graffitied tank on a promotional journey

Author : Sophia Mar 19,2025

World of Tanks Blitz is taking its marketing to a whole new level—a real-life, cross-country tank journey! This decommissioned, graffiti-covered tank, promoting the recent Deadmau5 collaboration, is touring the United States. It rolled into Los Angeles just in time for The Game Awards, making a truly memorable entrance.

Rest assured, this street-legal vehicle is fully decommissioned, so no rogue Wargaming employees or DJs are involved. But if you spotted the vibrantly painted tank on its travels and snapped a picture, you might have just won some exclusive merchandise!

The Deadmau5 and World of Tanks Blitz collaboration is now live, offering players the chance to acquire the exclusive Mau5tank—a dazzling vehicle equipped with lights, speakers, and music. Themed quests, camos, and cosmetics are also available.

The whole idea of a mobile World of Tanks game embracing such a playful marketing stunt is undeniably humorous. While some serious military simulation enthusiasts might scoff, it's a fun and harmless way to generate excitement. Wargaming isn't the first to use such tactics (breweries have even done it!), but seeing a tank like this roaming the streets certainly brightens a winter day.
