Prepare for the Pokémon GO Tour: Unova! Black and White Kyurem and Shiny Meloetta are arriving! This guide details how to obtain and fuse these legendary Pokémon.
Kyurem's Dual Forms Debut
Following the December 2024 announcement, Niantic revealed the exciting addition of Black Kyurem, White Kyurem, and Shiny Meloetta to the February 2025 Unova Tour. From February 21st-23rd, 2025, attendees in New Taipei City, Taiwan, and Los Angeles, USA, can participate in five-star raids to capture Kyurem and then fuse it.
Fusion requires:
- Black Kyurem: 1,000 Volt Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Zekrom Candy.
- White Kyurem: 1,000 Blaze Fusion Energy, 30 Kyurem Candy, 30 Reshiram Candy.
Fusion Energies are earned by defeating Black or White Kyurem in raids. Reversion to the base form is free. Increased Shiny rates for Kyurem, Reshiram, and Zekrom are also in effect.
A global event, Pokémon GO Tour: Unova – Global, runs March 1st-2nd, 2025, offering free access to these Pokémon for all players.
Shiny Meloetta Arrives!
Shiny Meloetta makes its Pokémon GO debut! In-person event ticket holders can complete a Masterwork Research to encounter this Pokémon. The research remains accessible beyond the three-day event.
Iconic Unova Legendaries
Kyurem, Reshiram, Zekrom, and Meloetta originated in Pokémon Black and White (Generation V). Kyurem's alternate forms, with their signature Ice Burn and Freeze Shock moves, were introduced in Pokémon Black and White 2. This Unova Tour offers a complete Unova experience!
