The narrative of World of Warcraft: The War Within continues. Beyond the Siren Isle update, Season 2 is anticipated in late 2025, introducing fresh endgame content and the next chapter of this expansion. However, Patch 11.0.7 includes new story quests laying the groundwork for Patch 11.1, centered around the Goblin capital, Undermine. A separate questline concludes the tragic destruction of Dalaran, though this won't be immediately accessible upon patch release.
Updated January 7, 2025, by Paul Woodward: The recent campaign quests mark a significant turning point. Dalaran, a long-standing location in Warcraft lore, may never fully recover from the events of The War Within. The Dalaran Epilogue questline provides closure to this storyline and a fitting farewell to a crucial social hub in Wrath of the Lich King and Legion.

How to Begin the Patch 11.1 Prologue
Unlike the Dalaran Epilogue, the "Lingering Shadows" campaign is immediately available. Completion of the leveling or Level 80 campaign isn't required. For optimal understanding, complete prior story content to avoid spoilers and gain context. The "Lingering Shadows" campaign comprises:

After "Found Friends," speak with Orweyna. Her quest, while not part of the main campaign, offers insights into future plot developments within The War Within or subsequent World Soul Saga expansions.
Initiating the Dalaran Epilogue in World of Warcraft: The War Within
Initially, a three-week delay was in place for the Dalaran Epilogue. As of January 7th, this restriction has been lifted. However, accessing this campaign necessitates completing both The War Within leveling campaign and the Level 80 campaign (unlocked by achieving at least Renown Four with all four Khaz'algar factions).
If unsure about your progress, visit Foundation Hall (the prologue quest starting point for Patch 11.1). The presence of Khadgar (after January 7th) indicates readiness to receive the quest. His absence signifies unfinished campaign quests. The Dalaran Epilogue quest list is below:

Completing this campaign unlocks the "Fate of the Kirin Tor" achievement and the "Witness of the Kirin Tor" title.
