Warframe: 1999's March Update: Techrot Encore Brings Boy Band Bosses and More!
Get ready for a blast from the past (and the future!) as Warframe: 1999 receives its Techrot Encore update this March. The update, showcased on a recent Digital Extremes devstream, introduces the 60th Warframe, Temple, alongside four new Protoframes and a host of other additions. But that's not all – prepare to face some familiar foes in a shocking new form.
The Technocyte Coda, formerly the boy band On-Lyne (remember them from the pre-release ARG?), are now the latest Lich adversaries. These once-harmless pop stars have undergone a significant transformation, trading their microphones for weapons.
Fortunately, players will be well-equipped to handle this new threat. Four new Scaldra weapons provide expanded combat options, whether you prefer ranged or melee attacks. Further enhancing the experience are updates to the Romance & Relationships system, a new Gyre Deluxe cosmetic skin, and the aforementioned Protoframes and Warframe.
Embrace the Y2K Vibe!
Warframe: 1999's unique Y2K aesthetic is undeniably captivating. And let's be honest, the concept of a boy band turned cybernetic enemy is pure genius.
But the fun doesn't stop there. Before the March update, players can enjoy the return of Clan Operation: Belly of the Beast (starting February 6th), along with new skins and Nightwave Vol. 8, offering even more rewards.
