Wingspan Will Release Its Asia Expansion This Year with New Cards and Modes

Get ready for a major expansion to the strategic video game Wingspan! The Asia Expansion is slated to arrive later this year, bringing a flock of exciting new features. While the exact release date remains under wraps, we do know it's packed with stunning additions.

Wingspan: Asia Expansion – A Closer Look

Prepare for a breathtaking journey across Asia! This expansion introduces a captivating array of birds from India, China, and Japan, each possessing unique abilities and fascinating facts. Discover 13 new bonus cards, including two specifically designed for the Automa mode, enhancing the solo gameplay experience. Immerse yourself in four gorgeous new backgrounds, showcasing the diverse landscapes of Asia, complemented by eight new player portraits reflecting the region's rich cultural heritage.

Wingspan: Asia also introduces Duet Mode, a thrilling head-to-head experience. Compete against an opponent on a special Duet Map, vying for habitat spaces and striving for unique end-of-round goals. The expansion also features a soundtrack upgrade, with four new relaxing music tracks composed by Paweł Górniak, setting the perfect mood for your strategic bird-watching.

Haven't Tried Wingspan Yet?

Adapted from Elizabeth Hargrave's popular card-based board game, Wingspan (initially released on PC in 2020 and mobile in 2021) challenges you to attract the most desirable birds to your wildlife preserve. Each bird contributes to powerful combinations, requiring careful planning to balance food, egg-laying, and card draws. The game mechanics cleverly mirror real-world avian behavior—hawks hunt, pelicans fish, and geese flock—creating a realistic and engaging experience.

While you eagerly await the Wingspan: Asia Expansion, explore the European and Oceania expansions available now on the Google Play Store.
