WWE 2k25 Unveiled: Exclusive Game Footage Preview

WWE 2K25: Early Glimpses and Roster Speculation

Xbox recently unveiled screenshots of the upcoming WWE 2K25, sparking excitement and speculation among wrestling game enthusiasts. Following the March 2024 release of WWE 2K24, many anticipate a similar launch window for its successor in 2025. While official details remain scarce, the gaming community is buzzing with predictions.

A major point of contention is the cover star. Past WWE games have featured iconic wrestlers, ranging from legends like Stone Cold Steve Austin and The Rock to current superstars such as Cody Rhodes, Rhea Ripley, and Bianca Belair. Although a Steam page leak suggests a potential cover athlete, confirmation awaits the official announcement. More information is promised on January 28, 2025.

The Xbox Twitter reveal, timed with WWE RAW's Netflix debut, showcased updated character models and attire for Liv Morgan, Cody Rhodes, Damien Priest, and CM Punk. This sparked inquiries about Xbox Game Pass availability and praise for the improved likeness of certain wrestlers, particularly Cody Rhodes and Liv Morgan.

Four Confirmed Playable Characters:

  • CM Punk
  • Damien Priest
  • Liv Morgan
  • Cody Rhodes

While these four are confirmed, the full WWE 2K25 roster remains undisclosed. Given recent roster changes within WWE, fans eagerly await confirmation of their favorite Superstars, with many hoping for the inclusion of Bloodline members Jacob Fatu and Tama Tonga, and the newly-gimicked Wyatt Six.

Although the initial announcement came from Xbox, WWE 2K25 is expected to launch on PlayStation and PC platforms. Whether it will be current-gen exclusive is yet to be determined. A link from the WWE Games Twitter account directs to a wishlist page featuring Xbox, PlayStation, and Steam logos, reinforcing the January 28, 2025 date for further details.
