Following a reported apology from Microsoft, Jyamma Games has expressed renewed optimism regarding the Xbox release of their debut title, Enotria: The Last Song, although a firm release date remains elusive.
Microsoft's Apology Restores Hope for Enotria's Xbox Launch
Jyamma Games Extends Gratitude to Phil Spencer and the Community
Jyamma Games publicly acknowledged Microsoft's apology for delays encountered during the Xbox certification process for Enotria. The delay, lasting over two months, had prompted the developer to announce an indefinite postponement of the Xbox release earlier this week. Initial comments from Jyamma CEO Jacky Greco on Discord expressed significant frustration, highlighting the lack of communication from Microsoft and the financial investment already made in porting the game.
However, following Microsoft's intervention and a direct apology, Jyamma Games took to Twitter (X) to express their gratitude to Phil Spencer and his team for their prompt response and assistance in resolving the situation. They also lauded the vocal support from their community, emphasizing the impact of player advocacy.
"We are now actively collaborating with Microsoft," the statement confirmed, "and are hopeful this will expedite the Xbox release."
Further details emerged on Enotria's Discord server, where Greco shared Microsoft's apology and their commitment to a swift resolution.
This situation highlights challenges faced by some developers during the Xbox release process. Earlier this week, Funcom reported optimization difficulties with the Xbox Series S port of Dune: Awakening.
While the PS5 and PC releases of Enotria: The Last Song remain on track for September 19th, the Xbox release date remains uncertain. For further information on Enotria: The Last Song, please refer to the link below.
