Conquering Ellefale, the Azure Queen of Death in Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana

Ys Memoire: The Oath in Felghana presents a significant challenge with its boss, Ellefale, surpassing even the difficulty of Dularn. Maintaining distance is crucial; close-quarters combat drastically increases the frequency of her attacks. While manageable on normal difficulty, higher difficulties demand a strategic approach. The Ignis Bracelet proves invaluable.

Strategic Preparation:

Prioritize grinding to boost your health above 100. Raval Ore is useful for armor upgrades, but conserve it for later, superior armor. Avoid rushing the fight; Ellefale is initially out of basic attack range.

Utilizing the Ignis Bracelet:

The Ignis Bracelet's fireballs are your primary offensive tool. Maintain maximum distance to minimize incoming damage. While Ellefale's moveset isn't extensive, each attack packs a significant punch.

Ellefale's Attacks and Countermeasures:

Ellefale employs four distinct attacks, each capable of restricting player movement and demanding precise timing and positioning:

  • Spinning Disc: Telegraphed by Ellefale raising her right arm. A perfectly timed jump is necessary to avoid this devastating attack. Improper timing, either too early or too late, results in damage.

  • Vertical Slash: Telegraphed by Ellefale raising her right arm. Easily avoided by a simple lateral movement (left or right). This attack might require simultaneous dodging maneuvers if combined with other attacks.

  • Lightning Strike: The most challenging attack. Telegraphed by Ellefale leaning forward. Immediately charge away from her, jumping while retreating to evade the lightning beams. Approaching her during this attack guarantees a hit.

  • Spinning Sphere: Telegraphed by Ellefale raising both wings. A slow-moving projectile that restricts movement. Easily outrun individually, but it can become problematic when combined with other attacks, potentially trapping the player.

Mastering these attack patterns and utilizing the Ignis Bracelet from a safe distance will significantly improve your chances of victory against Ellefale, the Azure Queen of Death. Remember, patience and precise timing are key to success.
