Ace Trainer: Farlight Games’ Exciting New Release Soft Launches

Author : Logan Feb 23,2025

Farlight Games, fresh off their successful 2024 collaboration with Lilith Games on AFK Journey, has a new contender in the mobile gaming arena: Ace Trainer. Currently soft-launched in South Korea and the US, this game blends several popular genres in a way that's both intriguing and potentially overwhelming.

Ace Trainer is essentially a Pokémon-inspired creature-collecting game, but with a zombie-infested twist. Instead of traditional turn-based battles, players engage in tower defense-style combat, deploying their trained creatures against waves of undead foes. Adding another layer of complexity (and perhaps a touch of chaos), pinball mechanics are incorporated for resource gathering.

This eclectic mix of gameplay elements – PvP, PvE, tower defense, and pinball – is ambitious, to say the least. While the soft launch across multiple regions suggests Farlight has high hopes for Ace Trainer, the sheer number of mechanics raises questions about its long-term viability. Will this "everything-but-the-kitchen-sink" approach ultimately succeed, or will it prove too much to manage? Only time will tell.
