Applin Debuts in Pokémon GO: Sweet Discoveries Await!

Pokémon GO enthusiasts, get ready for the Sweet Discoveries event, where you'll have the chance to encounter the adorable Applin for the first time. This event is a must for anyone keen on expanding their Pokémon collection or hunting for those elusive shiny variants. Let's dive into all the details you need to know.

When Is Applin Debuting in Pokémon GO?

Mark your calendars! The Sweet Discoveries event kicks off on April 24th at 10:00 a.m. and lasts until April 29th at 8:00 p.m. local time. This is when Applin, the Grass and Dragon-type Pokémon from the Galar region, will make its grand entrance into Pokémon GO.

To evolve Applin into Flapple, you'll need 200 Applin Candies and 20 Tart Apples. For Appletun, it's 200 candies and 20 Sweet Apples. And for its final evolution to Dipplin, which eventually becomes Hydrapple, the requirements are the same.

Here's a crucial tip: Tart Apples and Sweet Apples, essential for evolution, will appear in the wild. By tapping on them, you might snag a Tart Apple, a Sweet Apple, or even Applin itself. Increase your chances of finding these Apples by using Mossy Lure Modules.

Did You Know?

Applin has a unique way of life, spending its entire existence inside an apple. It cleverly hides from bird Pokémon, its natural predators, by masquerading as just another piece of fruit. It's not just unique; Applin is undeniably one of the cutest Pokémon in the game.

During the Sweet Discoveries event, don't miss out on the new avatar items available in the shop. You can sport an Applin Headband or an Applin Apron to show off your love for this new addition. And there's more—during the event, you'll earn double Candy for every Pokémon you catch.

Keep an eye out for Shiny Delibird and Shiny Skwovet, as they'll have an increased spawn rate in the wild. Plus, your chances of hatching Shiny Delibird, Shiny Cherubi, and Shiny Skwovet from 7 km Eggs are higher during this event.

Another sweet perk of the event is that catching Delibird or Skwovet will reward you with berries. So, if you haven't already, download Pokémon GO from the Google Play Store and join the fun.
