Onimusha: Way of the Sword is slated for release in 2026, and Capcom has shared some thrilling updates about what fans can anticipate from this revival of the beloved franchise.In crafting this new installment, the development team is concentrating on three key areas: developing compelling characters, introducing a fresh protagonist, and crafting engaging enemies. They are dedicated to recreating the setting of Kyoto, which is "brimming with historical, real-life locations." Their ultimate goal is to deliver the "ultimate sword fighting action" experience, emphasizing the "visceral satisfaction of slicing through enemies."
Although details about the new protagonist remain sparse, it has been confirmed that Onimusha: Way of the Sword will be set during the Edo Period, where players will battle against malevolent creatures called Genma. Through a "twist of fate," the protagonist will wield an Oni Gauntlet, using it to vanquish foes and feed it souls.

The second Open Beta test for Monster Hunter Wilds is on the horizon, and Capcom has revealed what players can expect that differs from the first beta. A major highlight is the introduction of the flagship monster, Arkveld, featured in an advanced quest designed to challenge players.The beta will also include a Gypceros Hunt, a training area, and online features such as Private Lobbies and Online Single Player mode. Private Lobbies will not appear in public searches, making them ideal for playing with friends, while Online Single Player mode allows players to play solo but with the option to use an S.O.S. Flare to switch to multiplayer when needed.
Players can transfer their data from the first Open Beta to this new one, and familiar features like Character Creator, Story Trial, and the Doshaguma hunt will return.
Monster Hunter Wilds is scheduled for release on February 28, with the second Open Beta test, which includes Cross-Play, running during the following periods:
