Naughty Dog has once again re-released its critically acclaimed The Last of Us series, this time as an all-in-one bundle for the PlayStation 5 (PS5) titled The Last of Us Complete. The studio, renowned for creating beloved PlayStation franchises such as Crash Bandicoot and Uncharted, announced and launched this two-pack collection today. The bundle features the 2022 remake, The Last of Us Part 1, alongside The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered, offering players an enhanced experience on the latest console.
The Last of Us Complete: Collector’s Edition - PS5
Priced at $109.99 and available at PlayStation Direct, the Collector's Edition is set to launch on July 10. This edition promises to deliver "the complete story that inspired the TV show with definitive versions of two award-winning games," enhanced by the graphical and gameplay improvements of the PS5.
The Last of Us Complete not only includes the mainline stories but also encompasses all bonus content released since their initial launches. This includes the Left Behind prequel DLC focused on Ellie, as well as The Last of Us Part 2's No Return and Lost Levels content. For fans who have enjoyed the HBO TV series starring Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey but have not yet experienced the games that inspired it, this all-encompassing digital bundle is available for $99.99.
In a PlayStation.Blog post, Naughty Dog Head of Studio Neil Druckmann shared details about the physical The Last of Us Complete Collector’s Edition. This edition, available for pre-order, comes with additional items justifying its slightly higher price: a Steelbook case, game discs, The Last of Us: American Dreams comics 1 – 4, four lithographic art prints, and a personal thank-you letter from Druckmann himself.
Druckmann expressed gratitude in his post, saying, "From our entire studio, thank you so much for your incredible support for The Last of Us and Naughty Dog over the years. This is such an exciting moment for both the franchise and our teams. We are so humbled by your personal stories of what the series has meant to you, have marveled at your incredible Photo Mode shots, and inspired to keep pushing ourselves forward to create more stories and worlds you’ll love."

Originally launched on the PS3 in 2013, The Last of Us has been a cornerstone of the PlayStation catalog, despite facing criticism for its multiple re-releases and remasters. The adventure of Joel and Ellie saw graphical enhancements for the PS4 in 2014 and a complete remake for the PS5 in 2022. The Last of Us Part 2, released in 2020, continued Ellie's story and received its own remaster in early 2024. Both titles have also been ported to PC, with The Last of Us Part 1 arriving in 2023 and The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered just last week.
The Last of Us Complete consolidates all of Naughty Dog’s post-apocalyptic offerings into a single package, marking yet another re-release. While some may question the need for revisiting Joel and Ellie’s world, the timing aligns with the upcoming premiere of HBO’s The Last of Us Season 2 this Sunday, with Season 3 already greenlit.
