Author : Samuel Dec 12,2025

Owlcat Games has revealed Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy as its next cRPG project, following the acclaimed Warhammer 40,000: Rogue Trader.

Announced during Warhammer Skulls 2025, Dark Heresy casts players as an Inquisitor - the Imperium's ruthless enforcers against heresy. The official description teases:

Embark on a shadowy crusade as an Inquisition acolyte in Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy. This narrative-driven tactical RPG plunges players into the grimdark universe during the Noctis Aeterna, investigating the enigmatic Tyrant Star. Command a diverse warband featuring both Imperial loyalists like Catachan Guardsmen and suspicious xenos such as Kroot mercenaries.

Featuring deep investigations, consequential choices, and turn-based combat, Dark Heresy delivers an authentic experience of the Inquisition's brutal methods. Building upon Rogue Trader's foundations, the game introduces fully voiced dialogue and expanded RPG systems.

Warhammer 40,000: Dark Heresy is coming to PC (Steam, GOG, Epic) along with PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S. A release window remains undisclosed.
