Netflix has unveiled the thrilling trailer for Electric State, a new sci-fi epic directed by the acclaimed duo Anthony and Joe Russo, known for their work on Avengers: Endgame. The trailer introduces us to a compelling narrative starring Millie Bobby Brown, famous for her role in Stranger Things, as a determined young heroine, and Chris Pratt, known from Guardians of the Galaxy, as a mysterious wanderer.
Set in a bleak future following a devastating technological collapse, Electric State chronicles the harrowing journey of its protagonist across a desolate American frontier. She's on a quest to find her missing brother, accompanied by a charming yellow robot that brings a light-hearted element to the dark storyline. Along their journey, they cross paths with a secretive drifter, whose hidden knowledge might unlock the secrets of their shattered world. Drawing inspiration from Simon Stålenhag's visionary graphic novels, this film offers a blend of emotion and mystery.
The cast is rounded out by notable actors such as Woody Harrelson of Three Billboards Outside Ebbing, Missouri, Anthony Mackie from The Falcon and the Winter Soldier, Ke Huy Quan from Everything Everywhere All at Once, Billy Bob Thornton known for Goliath, and Giancarlo Esposito of Better Call Saul.
