While Square Enix remains tight-lipped about the precise release date, Hamaguchi offered a positive progress update in a January 23, 2025 Famitsu interview. Timed Exclusivity Expected:

A March 6, 2024 Washington Post report suggests PlayStation secured timed exclusivity for the entire FF7 Remake trilogy. Following the precedent set by previous games – a one-year exclusivity for FF7 Remake (2020) and a six-month exclusivity for FF7 Remake Intergrade on PS5 – Part 3 is likely to follow suit, launching exclusively on PS5 before a later release on other platforms.

Square Enix's Multi-Platform Shift:

Despite the positive reception of the FF7 Remake series, Square Enix's March 31, 2024 financial report revealed declining sales in its HD title portfolio. In response, the company announced a strategic shift towards a multi-platform approach, encompassing Nintendo, PlayStation, Xbox, and PC platforms. This suggests that while Part 3 will initially launch on PS5, its eventual arrival on other consoles and PC is highly probable.
